Policy for the People

Fiscal Responsibility

I pledge to use taxpayer dollars in a prudent, responsible, and fiscally disciplined manner. Being entrusted with the responsibility of managing the taxpayers’ hard-earned money is one of my highest priorities.

Fiscal responsibility means carefully evaluating every expenditure, limiting spending on non-essential items, and ensuring that taxpayer dollars are focused on the services and investments that matter most to our community.

At the same time, responsible government is not simply about spending less—it is about spending wisely. Residents of Long Lake deserve the highest possible return on their tax dollars, and I will work to ensure that every dollar is used efficiently, thoughtfully, and with the best interests of our community in mind.

Environmental Stewardship

Long Lake has been a centerpiece in shaping the identity and character of the City of Long Lake. Its natural beauty is one of our community’s greatest assets, and we have a responsibility to protect it.

We should make every effort to foster a culture of responsible environmental stewardship—one that recognizes the importance of protecting the lake not only for those who enjoy it today, but for generations to come.

Long Lake is a shared community resource. By making thoughtful, responsible decisions today, we can preserve its water quality, natural beauty, and recreational opportunities so that everyone can enjoy this incredible resource both today and tomorrow.

Infrastructure Modernization

In order to build a strong, connected community, we must continue to modernize and invest in our roads, water and sewer systems, and digital networks. Previous generations had the foresight to make thoughtful, prudent investments in infrastructure that we continue to benefit from today.

It is now our responsibility to show that same wisdom and commitment. We must make judicious decisions today that strengthen our communities, support future growth, and ensure that the next generation inherits infrastructure that is safe, reliable, and built to last.

Investing in our infrastructure is more than maintaining what we have—it is about preparing for the future and leaving our communities better than we found them.

Public Safety

My commitment to public safety is unwavering. Our residents deserve to feel safe and confident knowing that when an emergency occurs, our first responders are prepared, equipped, and ready to act.

We must ensure that our fire and police departments have the resources, training, and support they need to protect our community effectively. Just as importantly, we should foster strong collaboration and communication between these essential services to improve emergency response and coordination.

By investing wisely in our first responders and strengthening cooperation between departments, we can build a safer, more prepared community and ensure that the safety of every Long Lake resident remains a top priority.
