Leadership That Listens.

Building Long Lake's Future

Meet Travis Michels

Leadership Rooted in Experience

With decades of experience in civil engineering and a lifetime of service to our community, I know what it takes to turn ideas into results. I’m running to bring practical, experienced leadership to our community—leadership focused on economic growth, responsible development, strong infrastructure, fiscal responsibility, and protecting the natural resources that define who we are.

We don’t have to choose between a thriving economy and a healthy environment. We can grow responsibly, invest wisely, protect our lakes and open spaces, and preserve the character of our communities for generations to come.

Our families deserve leadership that listens, stands up for taxpayers, solves problems, and puts the long-term interests of our community first. I’m ready to put my experience, energy, and commitment to work building a stronger, more prosperous, and sustainable future for every family.

A Blueprint for Success

Economic Opportunity

Fostering small-business innovation, cutting unnecessary barriers to growth, and creating stable, high-wage jobs so every family in our city has the opportunity to build a better future. We must create an environment where entrepreneurs can succeed, businesses can invest and grow, and hardworking families can prosper right here at home.

Modern Conference Room

Environmental Stewardship

Work collaboratively with state and local agencies, watershed partners, and our community to protect and restore Long Lake as a clean, healthy, and thriving natural resource—preserving it for recreation, wildlife, property owners, and future generations to enjoy.

Fiscal Responsibility

Use tax revenue wisely and ensure every taxpayer dollar delivers the greatest possible return. We must prioritize essential services, invest in infrastructure, eliminate wasteful spending, and make fiscally responsible decisions that protect taxpayers today and strengthen our community for the future.
